C. Jayne's Story
Life
After graduation I became a beautician, got married, had a daughter and moved to North Arlington, NJ..
I was widowed in 1968 and moved back to South Plainfield where I decided to go to work for NJ Bell Tele.
In 1973 I married So. Plfd Police Officer Bill Cady, and had a son. In 1975 Bill was killed in the line of duty. I stayed in the area, raising my 2 children, working for NJ Bell and attending classes at Rutgers.
In 1988 I retired from what was then AT&T and adopted a baby girl. I moved to PA in 1992.
In 2006 I moved to Florida where my daughter was attending college. Nikki has now completed college and is in the process of becoming licensed by the state.
My son, Rhett, works in law enforcement here in south Florida. He got married...Expand for more
in Oct 2008 to a wonderful young lady, Vanessa. I love her and her family...they are the very best people. Now, if I can just get the last one out of the house.... :)
Childhood Memories from FL:
I remember when I was 11 and lived in Port Orange, FL. My brother and I would wander around in the swamp behind our house and cut down red bananas to bring home...they were the best bananas. And we would go to the bay off the north side of the bridge from Dunlawton. We would bring a bottle of catsup and while I stayed on top of the docks, Buddy would dive down to the pilings and break off a huge chunk of oysters. He would bring them to the surface and toss them onto the dock where I would sit and watch him eat those disgusting nasty things!...ugh!
